Alton Middle School students in this class practice a variety of skills including; keyboarding with All the Right Type, math and literacy in Study Island, and designing multimedia projects. Scratch, a product of the MIT Media Lab, was developed especially for middle school students to experience the excitement of computer programming. These students are exceeding standards in Study Island. They have the highest percentage of correct answers for their grade level. Congratulations Tyler, Domynik, and Tami!
The content in English Language Arts, Math, Reading, and Writing in Study Island is grade level aligned. Lessons are challenging and fun, because students can select games to play as they work through the topics. Motivating students to do their best is my goal while providing added instruction and support.
